Is Hesperia water hard?
Yes. Like most of the High Desert, Hesperia sits on hard groundwater. Water hardness in Hesperia commonly lands in the very hard range the USGS defines as above 10.5 grains per gallon, which is why scale and spots are so common here. We can test yours to see exactly where it falls, and knowing your real number is the first step to fixing it.
Do I need a softener, filtration, or both?

What is reverse osmosis?
