Sewer Line Services in Hesperia & the High Desert

Get to the Root of the Problem

A sewer line problem is the one plumbing issue you cannot see and cannot put off. When the main line under your yard clogs, cracks, or collapses, every drain in the building is at risk. We find the real problem with a sewer camera inspection first, then fix it the right way, from a spot repair to a full sewer main installation. We handle residential and commercial sewer lines across Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear, and the rest of San Bernardino County, with emergency service when sewage is backing up.

Sewer Repair You Can Trust in the High Desert

John’s Plumbing and Rooter has repaired and replaced High Desert sewer lines since 2000. We are a family-owned, licensed plumbing contractor, and we handle sewer work for homes, businesses, and municipal property across Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear, and the wider San Bernardino County. A sewer line runs everything out of your building, so when it fails, you want it diagnosed correctly the first time, not guessed at.

Out here, the most common sewer line problem we see is root intrusion. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, tree roots are among the most common causes of sanitary sewer overflows and line blockages. Roots find a small crack or a loose joint, work their way inside, and grow into a dense mat that snags everything moving past. Left alone, that pressure can turn into a broken sewer line or even a collapsed sewer pipe that has to be replaced.

That is why we do not guess and we do not tear up your yard on a hunch. We start with a camera so we can see exactly what is wrong and where it sits, then we walk you through your real options, from a simple repair to trenchless work to a full replacement. You get honest answers, no pressure to buy more than you need, and a price before any work starts, with the service fee credited toward the job.

From a single cracked section to a complete sewer replacement, we have the equipment and the experience to handle it. And when sewage is already backing up, our emergency sewer service is on call around the clock, because that is not a problem that can wait until Monday.

Our Sewer Line Services

When the main line cracks, leaks, or clogs, our sewer line repair fixes the damaged section and gets everything flowing again. Whether the cause is a broken sewer line from shifting High Desert soil or roots forcing into a joint, we pinpoint the spot and repair it without replacing more pipe than we have to.

A sewer camera inspection sends a waterproof camera down the line so we can see the exact problem in real time. It tells us whether you are dealing with roots, a clog, a crack, or a collapse, and exactly where it is, so the fix is targeted instead of a guess.

Trenchless sewer repair fixes or relines the pipe with little or no digging, so your yard, driveway, and landscaping stay intact. When the line is a good candidate, it is faster and less destructive than digging the whole thing up.

When a line is too far gone to repair, our sewer main installation puts in a new main built to last. We handle full sewer replacement for homes and businesses, and we make sure the new line is sized and sloped right so you are not back here in a few years.

Signs You Have a Sewer Line Problem

More Than One Drain Backing Up

When several drains back up at once, or the lowest drain in the house overflows when you run water elsewhere, the blockage is in the main sewer line, not a single fixture. That is a sewer problem, and it needs a sewer camera inspection to find.

Sewage Smell in the Yard

A sewage smell in your yard, or a soggy patch of ground that stays wet and unusually green over the sewer line, often means the pipe is cracked or leaking underground. It is one of the clearest signs of a broken sewer line, and a sewer camera inspection pinpoints it.

Gurgling Toilets and Drains

Toilets that gurgle or drain that bubble when another fixture runs point to air trapped behind a main-line blockage. It is an early warning that the sewer line is closing up.

Slow Drains Throughout the House

One slow drain is usually a local clog. Every drain in the house running slow at the same time points to the sewer main. Catching it early can mean a cleaning instead of a repair.

Sewage Backing Up

Sewage coming back up into a tub, shower, or floor drain is an emergency. Stop running water and call us right away, our emergency plumbing team is available .

Repeat Clogs From Roots

If you fight the same main-line clog again and again, tree roots in the sewer line are a likely cause. A camera confirms it, and trenchless sewer repair can clear and reline the section without digging up the yard.

Why Choose Us for Your Sewer Line

We camera the line first so we know exactly what is wrong and where. That means a targeted fix and no digging up your yard to go looking for the problem.

Where the line is a good candidate, trenchless repair fixes the pipe with minimal digging, protecting your landscaping, driveway, and budget.

Sewer work is a big decision, so we explain what we found, lay out your options, and give you the price before any work starts. The service fee is credited toward the job.

We are a licensed, family-owned contractor that has worked on High Desert sewer lines for more than two decades. We know how the local soil and older lines out here behave.

Don't Just Take Our Word for It

Our family has trusted these guys with our plumbing for years and they always do great work! Had some plumbing issues with the toilet in the masterbath and they took care of it right away. Last year our hot water heater broke and they were able to replace it quickly and for a really affordable price. This week our garbage disposal broke and we knew exactly who to call!

Highly recommend this company, especially Levi, who did a beautiful job on our hot water heater last year and on our sink and garbage disposal this week. Levi is very professional- he always does an awesome job and gets it done so fast! Thankyou, Levi/ John’s Plumbing & Rooter! You guys are the best! 🥳🫶🏻

Levi fixed our interior leak, our copper pipe in the master bathroom, angle stops/shut off valves, the ball valve and water pressure regulator. He explained everything he was doing as my husband and I watched. He was very patient with our questions and communication was always open. He got our water running and made sure any defects were addressed. Very grateful for his work!

Who do I call for sewer problems?

Call John’s Plumbing and Rooter at (760) 694-0151. We handle residential, commercial, and municipal sewer lines across Hesperia and the High Desert, and we answer for sewer emergencies like a backup.

Common signs are multiple drains backing up, a sewage smell in the yard, soggy or sunken spots over the line, and repeat main-line clogs. The only way to know for sure is a sewer camera inspection, which shows the exact problem and location.

It depends on the pipe material and the soil around it. Many lines last several decades, but older clay and cast-iron pipes common in established High Desert neighborhoods are more prone to cracks and root intrusion as they age. A camera inspection is the best way to judge a line’s real condition.

Often, yes. When the line is a good candidate, trenchless sewer repair relines or replaces the pipe through small access points instead of trenching the whole yard. We confirm with a camera first.

Yes. We service residential and commercial sewer lines, and our emergency sewer service is on call for backups and overflows that cannot wait.
