Hydro Jetting in Hesperia & the High Desert
High-Pressure Cleaning for Drains That Snaking Cannot Fix
When a drain clogs again and again, snaking only buys you a little time. Hydro jetting blasts the line clean with high-pressure water, clearing grease, sludge, and tree roots all the way down to the pipe walls. We hydro jet residential and commercial lines across Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear, and the wider High Desert. Not sure you need it? Start with standard drain cleaning and we will tell you honestly.
Powerful Drain and Sewer Jetting in the High Desert
Hydro jetting is the heavy-duty side of our drain services. Instead of a cable that pokes through a clog, a hydro jetter pushes a specialized nozzle through the line and sprays water at high pressure, up to about 4,000 PSI, in every direction. That pressure scrubs the inside of the pipe clean and flushes the debris out, so the line is not just open, it is actually clear. It is the most thorough form of high-pressure drain cleaning we offer.
It is built for the toughest blockages. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, grease and tree roots are among the most common causes of recurring sewer and drain backups, and those are exactly what jetting is made to remove. A snake can punch a hole through a grease clog, but the grease is still coating the pipe, so the drain slows down again within weeks. Jetting takes the buildup off the wall.
The High Desert is hard on pipes in its own ways. Hard water leaves a mineral scale that slowly narrows the line, and blowing sand and grit settle into older clay and cast-iron sewer pipes. Add the grease from a home kitchen or a restaurant along the I-15 corridor, and you get the slow, stubborn buildup that jetting handles better than anything else.
We have cleared High Desert and San Bernardino County lines since 2000, and we do not jet a pipe just to ring up a bigger bill. We confirm the line can handle the pressure first, usually with a camera, and if a basic cleaning will do, that is what we recommend. You get honest answers, no pressure, and a service fee that is credited toward the work. It is the same straightforward approach behind all of our drain services.

Signs You Need Hydro Jetting
Clogs That Keep Coming Back
If you have snaked the same drain more than once this year, the buildup is still there. Jetting clears the full diameter of the pipe so the problem actually goes away.
More Than One Drain Backing Up
Slow or backed-up drains throughout the house usually point to grease or roots in the main line. That is a job for high-pressure jetting, not a sink snake.
Heavy Grease Buildup
Kitchens and restaurants send grease down the drain every day. It cools, hardens, and coats the pipe. Jetting is the only thing that fully strips it out.
Tree Roots in the Line
Roots creep in through small cracks and joints, then grow into a mat that traps everything. Jetting cuts and flushes the roots out of the line, and a sewer camera inspection confirms how far they have spread.
Sewer Smell or Sluggish Sewer
A constant sewage smell or a sewer line that drains slowly often means a partial blockage building toward a full backup. We hydro jet the sewer line to clear it before it becomes an emergency.
Before a Pipe Repair or Lining
A pipe has to be cleaned before pipe lining or repair can go on smoothly. We jet the line first to clear it out so the new lining bonds properly, whether the job is a patch or a full trenchless sewer repair.
What Hydro Jetting Clears
- Grease and Food Buildup
The high-pressure spray melts and washes away the grease, soap, and food waste that coat kitchen and main lines over time.
- Tree Roots
Jetting cuts through root intrusion and flushes the pieces out, opening the pipe back up to full flow.
- Sludge, Scale, and Sand
High Desert lines collect mineral scale and grit. Jetting scours the buildup off the pipe walls that a cable would skate right past.
- Commercial and Restaurant Lines
Busy kitchens and grease lines need regular jetting to stay compliant and avoid backups during service. We handle commercial and restaurant grease line jetting, and our commercial emergency services are on call when a line backs up mid-shift
Why Hydro Jetting Is Worth It
It Cleans the Whole Pipe
Snaking opens a hole through the clog. Jetting clears the entire inside of the pipe, wall to wall, so flow is fully restored.
Results That Last
Because the buildup is gone instead of just punctured, a jetted line stays clear far longer than a snaked one, often years with normal use.
No Harsh Chemicals
Jetting uses only water, so there are no corrosive chemicals sitting in your pipes or running into the ground.

How Hydro Jetting Works
We start by finding the problem and making sure the pipe is a good candidate. Very old or fragile pipes can be too brittle for high pressure, so we run a sewer camera inspection first to see the line’s condition and confirm jetting is safe. If the camera shows a broken pipe rather than a clog, we will tell you, because jetting cannot fix a break.
Once the line checks out, we feed a hose with a specialized jetting nozzle into a cleanout. The nozzle sprays water forward to cut through the blockage and backward to scour the walls and pull itself through the pipe. The high pressure lifts grease, roots, sludge, and scales off the walls and flushes everything down and out of the system.
When the line is clear, we run the camera again to confirm the pipe is clean and to spot anything that needs attention next, like a cracked section that would be a good candidate for a no-dig repair. Then we walk you through what we found and what, if anything, you should keep an eye on. You get a line that flows like new and a clear picture of its condition.
Most residential jetting takes about one to two hours, depending on the length of the line and how heavy the buildup is. We work from an existing cleanout whenever we can so there is no mess inside your home, and we lay down protection if we have to work through an indoor access point. You do not need to prepare anything. Point us to the problem and we handle the rest.
For homes with a history of roots or grease, and for busy commercial kitchens, we can set up jetting on a schedule so the line never gets bad enough to back up at the worst possible moment. Staying ahead of a blockage is almost always cheaper and less stressful than an emergency cleanup.

Why the High Desert's Hard Water Wears Out Your Plumbing
Hard water is the High Desert’s biggest hidden plumbing problem. The U.S. Geological Survey classifies water above 10.5 grains per gallon as “very hard,” and local supplies often run near 17 grains per gallon. That mineral load builds scale inside pipes, fixtures, and water heaters, which is why a water softener is our most-requested upgrade.
Local High Desert Water Hardness
grains per gallon — local supplies often run near this figure
Local High Desert Water Hardness
the federal standard — our water exceeds it by 60%
Typical Water Heater Lifespan
often cut to 5–7 years in hard-water areas without a softener
The Fix
Pair a softener with whole-house filtration and you've covered both the scale and the taste.
Here’s what that scale costs you. A standard tank water heater is built to last 8 to 12 years, but in hard-water areas it can fail years sooner as sediment and scale eat away at the tank. Softening your water protects that investment, keeps faucets and showerheads flowing, and cuts the soap and detergent you go through.

Hydro Jetting Questions
Don’t see your question? Call us directly — we’re happy to walk through any plumbing question before you commit to anything.
How much does hydro jetting cost?
It depends on the size of the line, how bad the buildup is, and how easy the cleanout is to reach. We give you the price before we start, the service fee is credited toward the work, and you can ask about our current specials to save on the job.
Hydro jetting vs snaking, which is better?
A snake is great for a single, simple clog close to the fixture. Hydro jetting is better for grease, roots, recurring clogs, and main lines, because it cleans the whole pipe instead of poking a hole through the blockage. We will recommend the right one for your situation.
Is hydro jetting worth it, and how long does hydro jetting last?
For the right problem, yes. Because jetting removes the buildup instead of just clearing a path through it, a jetted line typically stays clear for years with normal use, far longer than a quick snaking.
Will hydro jetting damage my pipes?
Not when it is done right. We camera the line first to confirm the pipe can handle the pressure. If a pipe is too old or already damaged, we recommend a different approach instead of jetting it.
Do you offer commercial and restaurant hydro jetting?
Yes. We jet residential, commercial, and municipal lines, including restaurant grease lines that need regular service to stay clear and compliant.
