Fast Help When Plumbing Goes Wrong

John’s Plumbing and Rooter has answered High Desert emergencies since 2000. We are a family-owned, licensed plumbing contractor, and we are the 24 hour plumber homes, businesses, and municipal clients call across Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear, and the wider San Bernardino County. When the water will not stop and the day cannot wait, we pick up. That has been the promise since day one, and it is why neighbors keep our number saved.

A plumbing emergency is any problem that is actively causing damage or leaving you without water. Water gushing from a pipe, sewage backing up into the house, no water in the house at all, or flooding from plumbing somewhere you cannot reach. These do not improve on their own, and every hour of standing water or running leak costs you more in damage.

Here is the one thing to do before we arrive: if water is flowing where it should not be, shut it off. Find your main water shutoff valve, usually where the line enters the house or out by the meter, and turn it clockwise to stop the flow. Knowing how to shut off the water to your house is the single best way to limit the damage while help is on the way.

When we get there, we find the problem fast, stop the damage, and tell you the price before we work, with the service fee credited toward the repair. As your after hours plumber, late night plumber, and weekend plumber, we treat your emergency like the emergency it is, and financing is available when a repair turns into a bigger job.

Our Emergency Plumbing Services

A hidden leak can soak your home before you ever see it. Our leak detection pinpoints the source behind walls, under floors, and underground, so we fix the actual problem instead of opening up your whole house. Catching it early keeps a small leak from becoming major water damage.

A leak in the pipes under your foundation wastes water and threatens the slab itself. Our slab leak repair locates and fixes the leak with the least disruption to your floors and foundation. Left alone, a slab leak can undermine the concrete your home sits on.

Sewage coming up through drains is a health hazard that needs fast action. We clear the sewer backup, find what caused it, and get your drains flowing safely again. We also check the main line so the backup does not come right back.

High Desert nights get cold, and frozen pipes can burst. Our frozen pipe repair thaws and repairs the line and helps you keep it from happening again.

When a sump pump fails, water has nowhere to go. We repair and replace sump pumps so your low spots and crawl spaces stay dry when the water rises. We test the new pump so you know it works before the next storm.

Common Emergencies and What to Do

Burst or Gushing Pipe

Water gushing from a pipe can flood a room in minutes. If you are wondering what to do with a burst pipe, the first step is the same every time: shut off the water at the main, then call us so we can stop the leak and repair the line. Every minute the water runs adds to the cleanup, so fast shutoff matters.

Sewage Backing Up

Sewage backing up through a toilet or floor drain is a health risk and needs immediate attention. Stay clear of the contaminated water and call us to clear the sewer backup at its source.

No Water in the House

Suddenly having no water in the house can mean a broken main line, a frozen line, or a valve problem. We track down why the water stopped and get it flowing again fast. We start at the most likely cause and work quickly from there.

Flooding From Plumbing

Flooding from plumbing, whether from a failed water heater, a burst supply line, or a backed-up drain, gets worse every minute. Shut off the water if you can, and we will handle the rest. Stopping the source first keeps the damage from spreading.

Not Sure Where the Shutoff Is

Knowing your main water shutoff valve location before an emergency saves you precious minutes. It is usually where the line enters the house or near the meter, and we will show you exactly where yours is on any visit.

Frozen Pipes

A frozen pipe can crack and then burst when it thaws. If a pipe freezes, keep the faucet slightly open and call us for frozen pipe repair before the thaw turns into a flood.

Why Choose Us When It Counts

A 24/7 emergency plumber is only useful if someone picks up. We are the plumber that answers at night, on weekends, and on holidays, so you are not leaving a message while your house floods.

As a fast response plumber, we get to you quickly and come ready to stop the damage, not just look at it. The sooner the water stops, the less it costs you. We carry common parts on the truck so many repairs happen on the spot.

We are a licensed, local contractor who has worked the High Desert since 2000. You get a real pro who knows the area, not an out-of-town call center.

Even in an emergency, you get the price before we work, and the service fee is credited toward the repair. No taking advantage of a bad night.

Related Plumbing Services

Emergencies usually trace back to a specific system. A burst or leaking line is pipes and water lines work, a failed or leaking tank is one for our water heater services, and a backup often points to the main and our sewer line services. You can also browse our full range of plumbing services.

Don't Just Take Our Word for It

Our family has trusted these guys with our plumbing for years and they always do great work! Had some plumbing issues with the toilet in the masterbath and they took care of it right away. Last year our hot water heater broke and they were able to replace it quickly and for a really affordable price. This week our garbage disposal broke and we knew exactly who to call!

Highly recommend this company, especially Levi, who did a beautiful job on our hot water heater last year and on our sink and garbage disposal this week. Levi is very professional- he always does an awesome job and gets it done so fast! Thankyou, Levi/ John’s Plumbing & Rooter! You guys are the best! 🥳🫶🏻

Levi fixed our interior leak, our copper pipe in the master bathroom, angle stops/shut off valves, the ball valve and water pressure regulator. He explained everything he was doing as my husband and I watched. He was very patient with our questions and communication was always open. He got our water running and made sure any defects were addressed. Very grateful for his work!

John’s plumbing was excellent, Levi showed up within an hour and got my backed up drain cleared. Awesome customer service, Levi was very thorough and explained what he was doing and what could’ve caused my backup. Definitely recommend John’s plumbing.

This company was amazing, I called them for an emergency call due to a PCV pipe busting in my backyard. John had Levi out here in less then an hour and was able to get the job done in 30 minutes. I would highly recommend them for any related service needs.

This company was very affordable when I needed some work done on the weekend. The employee, Levi, was very professional and did quality work. Five stars.

Our kitchen flooded. Edgar called and came out earlier than scheduled and we needed him. He went right to work, explained the challenges, and solved them completely. Our kitchen is fixed and we have a beautiful new faucet too. Thank you John’s Plumbing!
We feel the price was quite reasonable. Actually, Edgar went beyond our expectations.

I had an emergency with a toilet. I had called a previous plumber and they had no openings for the same day. Scattered homesteads, larger lots, and plumbing issues from older homes and rural water lines.
