Faucet Installation & Repair in Hesperia & the High Desert
Stop the Drip, Update the Look
A faucet that drips, drags, or will not shut off wastes water and gets on your nerves every day. We handle faucet installation and faucet repair for kitchens and baths across Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear, and the rest of San Bernardino County. Faucets are part of the plumbing fixtures we service, and a new kitchen faucet often comes with a kitchen remodeling project.
Faucet Installation and Repair for the High Desert
John’s Plumbing and Rooter has installed and repaired High Desert faucets since 2000. We are a family-owned, licensed plumbing contractor serving homes, businesses, and municipal clients across Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear, and the wider San Bernardino County. A faucet is something you touch a dozen times a day, so it should work smoothly and not waste a drop. A faucet you never think about is one that is working right.
A small drip adds up faster than people think. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, a faucet dripping once per second can waste more than 3,000 gallons of water a year. That is why a quick dripping faucet repair is worth doing instead of living with the sound and the waste.
Most faucet trouble comes down to a worn cartridge, washer, or aerator, and a faucet repair handles it. When a faucet is corroded, outdated, or you simply want a new look, we take care of faucet replacement and faucet installation cleanly, in the kitchen or the bathroom. We set it level, sealed, and ready to use the same day.

Common Faucet Problems We Fix
A Dripping or Leaky Faucet
A dripping faucet or a leaky faucet at the spout or base usually means a worn washer, O-ring, or cartridge. It is a small fix that stops the drip and the wasted water. Catching it early keeps a slow drip from staining the sink or counter.
A Faucet That Will Not Turn Off
When a faucet will not turn off all the way or keeps running, the valve or cartridge inside has worn out. Replacing that part restores a clean, full shutoff. A faucet that will not shut off is wasting water every minute it runs.
A Loose or Wobbly Handle
A faucet handle that is loose, wobbly, or hard to turn is usually a quick tightening or a worn cartridge. Left alone, a faucet handle loose at the base can crack the fitting underneath. Tightening or replacing it early avoids a bigger repair.
Low Pressure at One Faucet
Low water pressure at one faucet, while the rest of the house is fine, usually means a clogged aerator or cartridge rather than a whole-home issue. Cleaning or replacing that part brings the flow back. There is no need to repipe the house for one slow faucet.
Hard Water Buildup
Out here the water is hard, and hard water faucet buildup clogs aerators and stiffens cartridges over time. Clearing it helps, and water softeners prevent the scale from coming back. Either way, your faucets run better and last longer.
A Worn Cartridge
Many faucet problems trace back to one part. A faucet cartridge replacement fixes drips, stiff handles, and temperature trouble in a single, affordable repair. It is the most common faucet fix we do.
Faucet Services We Handle
- Faucet Repair
Most faucet repair is a worn cartridge, washer, aerator, or handle. We diagnose the real cause and replace the part, rather than selling a new faucet when the old one has good years left. Most repairs take well under an hour.
- Installation & Replacement
We handle faucet installation and faucet replacement throughout the home, including kitchen faucet installation and bathroom faucet installation, set so they seal tight with no leaks underneath. We also replace worn shutoff valves while we are under there.
- Touchless & Upgraded Faucets
Want to modernize? We do touchless faucet installation and pull-down and high-arc upgrades, and we will help you match finishes across the room. Touchless faucets are handy in a busy kitchen and easy to keep clean.
- Brand Expertise
We know the common brands inside and out, including Moen faucet repair, Delta faucet repair, and Glacier Bay faucet work, so we usually have the right parts and approach on the first visit. That usually means one trip instead of two.
Why Homeowners Choose Us
Repair First
A cartridge or washer is far cheaper than a new faucet, so we fix what you have when it makes sense and only suggest replacement when the faucet is truly worn out. The choice should be yours, with honest information.
No Leaks Underneath
A faucet that looks fine up top can still seep at the supply lines below. We make every connection tight so a quick install does not turn into cabinet damage later. We check the supply lines and shutoffs before we finish.
Finishes That Match
We help you keep finishes consistent across a kitchen or bath, so a new faucet, handles, and trim look like they belong together. The right finish ties the whole room together.
Upfront Pricing, Same-Day When We Can
You get the price before we start and the service fee credited toward the work, plus same day faucet repair when we can fit it in. Honest pricing, no upsell.
What to Expect From a Faucet Visit
We start by finding out what is actually wrong, a worn cartridge, a clogged aerator, a bad supply line, or a faucet at the end of its life. Most faucet problems are clear in a few minutes.
Then we tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement is the better value, and give you the price before we begin. For a repair we swap the worn part; for a new faucet we help you pick one that fits and set it cleanly. We confirm it matches your sink’s hole count and configuration.
When the work is done, we run the water, check the shutoff, and look under the sink for any leaks before we leave. A faucet should turn on, turn off, and stay dry underneath. We do not leave until it does all three.

Why the High Desert's Hard Water Wears Out Your Plumbing
Hard water is the High Desert’s biggest hidden plumbing problem. The U.S. Geological Survey classifies water above 10.5 grains per gallon as “very hard,” and local supplies often run near 17 grains per gallon. That mineral load builds scale inside pipes, fixtures, and water heaters, which is why a water softener is our most-requested upgrade.
Local High Desert Water Hardness
grains per gallon — local supplies often run near this figure
Local High Desert Water Hardness
the federal standard — our water exceeds it by 60%
Typical Water Heater Lifespan
often cut to 5–7 years in hard-water areas without a softener
The Fix
Pair a softener with whole-house filtration and you've covered both the scale and the taste.
Here’s what that scale costs you. A standard tank water heater is built to last 8 to 12 years, but in hard-water areas it can fail years sooner as sediment and scale eat away at the tank. Softening your water protects that investment, keeps faucets and showerheads flowing, and cuts the soap and detergent you go through.
Removes calcium and magnesium before they build scale. Our most-requested upgrade for High Desert homeowners.

Faucet Questions
Don’t see your question? Call us directly — we’re happy to walk through any plumbing question before you commit to anything.
Why does my faucet drip or not turn off?
A dripping faucet or one that will not turn off almost always has a worn cartridge, washer, or O-ring inside. These are inexpensive parts, and a quick repair stops both the drip and the wasted water. You do not have to replace the whole faucet for a drip.
Should I repair or replace a faucet?
If the faucet is sound, a repair is usually the better value since most issues are a cheap internal part. We lean toward replacement when a faucet is corroded, hard to find parts for, or you want a new look or a faucet replacement upgrade. We will give you the straight tradeoff either way.
Do you install touchless or faucets I bought myself?
Yes to both. We do touchless faucet installation and are glad to install a quality faucet you already bought. If you have not picked one, we will help you choose a faucet that fits your sink and plumbing.
Do you repair Moen, Delta, and Glacier Bay faucets?
We do. Moen faucet repair, Delta faucet repair, and Glacier Bay faucet work are all common for us, and knowing the brands means we usually carry the right cartridge and parts.
How much does faucet installation cost, and is it same-day?
Faucet installation cost depends on the faucet and the condition of the supply lines and shutoffs. Many jobs are quick, so we offer same day faucet repair when the schedule allows, and we give you the price upfront. There is no charge for the estimate.
