Levi fixed our interior leak, our copper pipe in the master bathroom, angle stops/shut off valves, the ball valve and water pressure regulator. He explained everything he was doing as my husband and I watched. He was very patient with our questions and communication was always open. A Family Business Since 2000
By 2000, John Stepanian Sr. had spent years working for larger plumbing companies. He watched customers get sold work they did not need, and he watched good technicians get treated like they were easy to replace. So he left, and started John’s Plumbing and Rooter out of Hesperia with one rule: take care of people the way you would want to be taken care of.
His son, John Jr., grew up in the business and came into the trade himself. Worked his way up to a six-truck operation before coming back to the family business. He runs the team, answers the phone, helps out in the field & ensures the gold standard is held every day.
We have a “Cant” does not exist mentality around here. With more than 50 years of combined experience on our team, there is not much we have not already seen. When a problem doesn’t add up, we figure it out.
Why the High Desert's Hard Water Wears Out Your Plumbing
Hard water is the biggest hidden plumbing problem in the High Desert. The U.S. Geological Survey calls anything above 10.5 grains per gallon “very hard,” and local supplies often run close to 17. All that mineral leaves scale inside your pipes, fixtures, and water heater, which is exactly why a water softener is the upgrade people ask us for most.
Here’s what the scale actually costs you. A standard tank water heater is built to last 8 to 12 years, but in hard-water areas it can give out well before that as sediment eats at the tank. Softening the water protects that investment, keeps your faucets and showerheads flowing, and cuts down on the soap and detergent you burn through. Add whole-house water filtration alongside a softener and you’ve handled the scale and the taste in one go.

How long is your warranty?
2 to 5 year labor warranties, plus the standard 5-year manufacturer warranty on qualifying equipment. We stand behind our work after we leave.
Is the water in the High Desert really that hard?
It is. The USGS classifies anything above 10.5 grains per gallon as very hard, and local supplies often run near 17. That scale shortens the life of water heaters and fixtures, which is why we install so many water softener across the Victor Valley.
